Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding with your booking. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice, from time to time in our sole discretion. Vamos Spanish will endeavor to communicate the most updated Terms and Conditions to our students when changes occur.
1. Definitions
'Vamos Spanish' shall mean Vamos Spanish Academy. 'You’ or ‘student’ shall mean the person in whose name the booking is made and shall include the person or persons on whose behalf the same is made. 'Force Majeure' shall mean any event outside Vamos Spanish Academy's control, including but not limited to war and civil strife etc., which prevents the prompt performance of its obligations.
2. General Information
General information included in the website (www.vamospanish.com) is for help and guidance. The contract incorporating these conditions shall be governed by Argentine law and any matters arising out of it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Argentina, Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires.
3. Spanish Courses
3.1 A regular group class lasts 4 hours which includes a 20-minute break. Due to the written placement test and/or the oral interview which usually takes place on the first day of class, especially in the case of last minute sign up, class time on the first day may be slightly reduced. Student is responsible for sending Vamos Spanish their completed Placement Test at least one week prior to the first class. Vamos Spanish does not accept any liability for classes or hours missed, or assignment to the wrong level due to not returning the Placement Test on time. No refunds will be given where classes are missed due to testing.
3.2 The minimum number of student to start any group classes is two. In the rare event that the student wants to join a group class but he/she is the only one of his/her level, Vamos Spanish will work with the student to make an alternative arrangement that best suits the situation; as an example, offering private classes up to the value of the paid group classes, instead of putting the student in a class of the wrong level.
3.3 There is no rescheduling for group classes once classes have started.
3.4 If a student is absent due to reasons including but not limited to sickness, travel etc., there is no refund or rescheduling of group class unattended with or without prior notice.
3.5 Private classes require at least 24 business hours to schedule or reschedule. Also see point 14.3.
3.6 During high season, Vamos Spanish reserves the right to introduce afternoon group classes. Vamos Spanish will notify students when such option is available but the student schedule will be ultimately determined by Vamos Spanish.
4. No Show and Late Arrival Policy
4.1 In any situation where the student(s) do not show up for their scheduled class and they are the only student(s) in the class, Vamos Spanish reserves the right to release the teacher after 30 minutes of waiting unless notification of late arrival has been made in advance. Once the teacher has been released, the class is automatically cancelled and no rescheduling of class will be made.
4.2 Classes start and end as scheduled by Vamos Spanish. If a student arrives late, the class time missed is not refundable nor can it be rescheduled.
5. Public Holidays
5.1 Vamos Spanish closes on public holidays. When a group class lands on a public holiday, no classes will take place on that day, no refunds will be made but the hours will be compensated by adding one more hour to the group classes every day for the rest of the week. During those days, the group classes will start at 8:30am, instead of 9:30am. Private classes will be rescheduled.
5.2 Please be aware that the Argentine government can and does create and announce new public holidays at anytime during the year with little or no notice. While Vamos Spanish will do its best to inform the students about public holidays, it is the student’s responsibility to find out all the public holidays of the country when they book their travel.
6. Accommodation
6.1 One unit of minimum accommodation booking is one week, which means 7 nights checking in on Sunday and checking out on the following Sunday (unless otherwise indicated). Any extra nights that are less than the one-week booking unit will be calculated separately. There is no refund if the student checks out early or spends less than the time in the accommodation that he/she paid for during his/her stay. This includes any trips taken throughout the stay.
6.2 Vamos Spanish will do its best to assign the student to his/her accommodation of choice as closely matched as possible to the preferences indicated in the Registration Form. However, the final assignment will depend on availability at the time of booking due to season, hosts, and other factors that are out of the control of Vamos Spanish.
6.3 If for any reason concerning his/her health, safety or discomfort that the student is unhappy with his/her first assigned accommodation, Vamos Spanish will endeavor to relocate the student. The student will have the first 3 days to make such relocation request with a plausible reason. However, if the reason for relocation is a concern that the student did not inform Vamos Spanish at the time of booking, Vamos Spanish will help to relocate the student but the student will be responsible for any extra charges incurred for the relocation.
6.4 Vamos Spanish reserves the right to relocate or terminate an accommodation arrangement of a student, without refunds, if the student violates the Codes of Conduct, host’s house rules, create disruptions to the host’s living environment, and/or substantial amount of reasonable complaints are made from the host. The abuse of alcohol or the use of illegal drugs, or overnight guests without permission of the host, will not be allowed and will result in termination of accommodation without refund.
7. Activities and Excursions
While Vamos Spanish is always looking to further enrich its students’ learning and travelling experiences, and does its best to organize various free and paid activities, workshops and excursions, the number and the frequency of such activities, workshops, and excursions will be determined by demands as well as availability.
8. Travel Documents and Insurance
Student is fully responsible for having all necessary valid travel documents, travel insurance and medical insurance. Any non-compliance and any resulting damages are the sole responsibility of the student. Vamos Spanish reserves the right to refuse a student to join any of its activities or excursions if such student fails to prove that he/she has the required travel documents and/or insurance to participate safely.
9. Prices
The prices stated on the website are the official charges; prices in any 3rd party websites, printed flyers, brochures, advertisements or other materials are for indication only. Prices are subject to change at any time. 10. Discounts
10.1 Discounts for group classes only apply to the full 20-hr week at its regular price. There will be no discounts for any partial week due to reasons including but not only holidays or late registration.
10.2 Discounts that are offered directly by Vamos Spanish cannot be combined with any other discounts offered by third parties, unless stated otherwise. The long term discount is per person and it only applies when multiple consecutive weeks are booked and paid for at the same time. Any additional weeks will be calculated as a new transaction and a new booking.
11. Booking and Payment
11.1 Due to the limited capacity of each class and accommodation, spots are available on a first come first serve basis. Therefore, spot is not guaranteed and booking is not finalized until full payment has been processed and a confirmation receipt has been issued. Full payment must be paid before the first day of class or the check-in day of accommodation. Vamos Spanish reserves the right to refuse a student from starting class or moving into the accommodation until full payment has been paid.
11.2 All paid programs, accommodation and any item booked through Vamos Spanish are non-transferable.
12. Special Requirements
Any special requests must be advised to Vamos Spanish at the time of Registration.
13. Airport Transfer

If the student failed to provide such information correctly and promptly, Vamos Spanish reserves the right to charge the student for any extra fee incurred due to last minute booking or changes to the transfer.
13.2 The airport pickup fee includes the driver waiting for the student at the arrival gate with a sign of the student’s name, with a grace period of 1 hour after arrival time (based on the information provided by the student as well as the time provided by the official website of the corresponding airline). If for any reason that the flight is delayed for more than 1 hour and that the delayed information was not available online before the driver leaves for the pick up (it usually takes an hour of travel to get to Ezeiza airport from Capital Federal, so our drivers have to leave at least an hour before arrival time), the student will be charged for any extra waiting time or extra trip made to the airport incurred by the delay of his/her flight.
14. Changes by the Student
14.1 If a student wants to make changes to a booked and paid program (include classes, accommodation, airport transfer and/or any other services provided by Vamos Spanish) before his / her Spanish course program has started, the request must be made to Vamos Spanish in writing, and Vamos Spanish reserves the right to charge an administration fee of up to US$100 per person per change to cover the additional administration involved.
14.2 Once a program has started and a student wants to make changes to his/her Spanish course program from one type to another, a change fee of US$45 will be applied and the request has to be made at least 5 business days before the change occurs. Whether the change can be made as requested will also depend on the school schedule and availability.
14.3 If a student wants to reschedule his/her private class, the request must be made at least 24 hours before class starts. If the required time is not met, the class will not be rescheduled and no refund will be given. The reschedule time will depend on the school schedule availability.
15. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If force majeure occurs while the program is in progress, Vamos Spanish will try to make reasonable alternative arrangements as well.
17. Liability of Vamos Spanish
Vamos Spanish is responsible for making sure that all programs and services are supplied as described and that they all reach reasonable standard. However, Vamos Spanish will not be liable for the failure or improper performance of these products and services where such failure or improper performance is attributable to a) the fault of the student, b) the unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of an unconnected third party, c) unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond Vamos Spanish's supplier’s control, including force majeure.
