Our Academic Team
Ivana Gamarnik was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age, she has had the opportunity to travel and see the world, thus has started her connection with many foreign languages. She now speaks Spanish, English and has a good knowledge of French, German and Portuguese. She graduated from Universidad del Salvador with a degree in English Scientific and Literary Translation, and later continued her studies in Modern Literature and Linguistics at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Her love for languages also led her to an early start of her teaching career. She has over 10 years of foreign language teaching experiences, which include teaching English to Argentines at corporate companies. Nonetheless, her last 5 years have been dedicated to teaching her mother-tongue, Spanish, to foreigners in various institutions, and she finds a lot of great joy in doing so because she is spreading not only a language, but a culture, that she is absolutely passionate about. From her extensive teaching experience, she understands what an excellent language learning experience should possess, and the importance of continuous improvement and development in education. As the General Director of our Academic Team, she is committed to bring new and creative ideas to make Spanish learning a timely and engaging study for the modern world.
Carolina Crespo was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires with a degree in Literature, majoring in Classic Literature. She also received a second degree in Literary Proofreading at the Universidad del Salvador. She has always been fascinated with words, grammar and the Spanish language; in fact, all languages in general. She is fluent in English, is able to carry a good conversation in French, and is continuously improving her German. She has more than 8 years of Spanish language teaching as well as class planning experience in foreign language institutions. Being an active foreign language student herself, she has an unusual quick and curious mind allowing her to analyze and understand precisely why a grammar mistake is made and most of all, how best to explain and overcome them. Her ability to be in the shoes of our students makes her a vital role in successfully leading our Academic Team. Outside of her profession, she is proud to be an aficionado of The Beatles. She believes her humble home will soon become the best mini Beatles museum in Buenos Aires.
